The patient, a 55 year old male, had suffered repeated instances of unremitting vomiting and episodic epigastric pain. Barium meal revealed a luminally projecting space occupying gastric lesion. Transcutaneous FNAC under sonographic guidance was employed for directly accessing material from the gastric fundal mass. Examination of stained cytosmears led to a diagnosis of epithelioid gastric stromal neoplasm, which was subsequently confirmed on histology.
